Effective today, Samsung has slashed the price of its 7″ Galaxy Tab 2 to $199.99, a price drop of $50. You can pick one up today at Office Depot, Best Buy, Amazon.com, and Fry’s Electronics.
Cutting the price of the Galaxy Tab 2 to $199.99 puts it in direct competition with an already highly competitive tablet market which includes Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD, and the Nook HD.
The Galaxy Tab 2 is Samsung’s flagship economical tablet for the 2012 holiday season. It is slim, lightweight, well-built, runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, and is stable with responsive performance. It has a microSD card slot (which accepts cards up to 32GB) and is the only 7″ tablet to include a rear-facing camera.
Also available for those desiring an unlimited, speedy connection, is the Galaxy Tab 2 7″ with a 4G LTE for Verizon Wireless option. The price tag is a competitive $349.99.
